Located close to Love River invites for long and relaxed walks along the river (at night the bridges are illuminated in different colours). But also the pulsating neighbourhood with many little shops, retaurants, cafés (special recommendation: the cozy 'Good U Café' in just 20m distance at the corner next to the bridge) and a night market as well as various small and big temples nearby is worth to get discovered instead of heading to the closest subway station ('Yanchengpu') in 8-minute walking distance. From there it just needs a few minutes more to walk to the very popular Pier 2 area that includes attractions such as the Great Harbour Bridge or the Kaohsiung Music Center, or just one subway stop ('Sizihwan') and a short walk to catch the Cijin ferry. The very comfortable bigger room (thanks a lot to the very kind staff for the upgrade surprise at my arrival!), flooded with bright daylight, was equipped with a big fridge, an extra sofa plus couch table, a long table perfect for working on the laptop and a spacious bathroom. On the floor water, coffee, tea and little snacks are offered for free. And, also not unimportant, the wifi works very well. Another special recommendation: There's access to the roof by elevator that offers an amazing overview to the Love River and the surrounding area.

What I liked the most is the location, it is placed very near to the metro, maybe a 10-minute walk, where you will pass-by many convenient stores and food stalls/restaurants. The vicinity is peaceful, near the river where you can stroll around the morning and explore many nearby attractions. With regards to the hotel itself, I think it really exceeded our expectation! Though it is an old building (the elevator in the right side was a little bit rundown) they made each floor a cute quirky design and upon reaching your assigned floor in front of the elevator are free hot/cold water, snacks, cereals, tea & coffee. The room is very roomy, and basic amenities were provided. They even have a socket adapter just in case you don't have any travel adapter with you! (which I think was very considerate and well thought of ;)) So, overall we were very well pleased with our stay in this hotel. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

I booked online last minute and could.not male calls. The staff immediately whatsapped me and came to let me.into the room They were so kind and friendly. There was constant tea and coffee and snacks and the room was light and airy and clean. Good hairdryer and also a TV.the only thing I did not like was the pillows as they were so big! But it gets 10/10. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this hotel with so much character and lovely staff.

I was blown away by the incredible value, with a massive hotel room with a closet, fridge, and bathroom/shower. Self-check-in was easy, and their customer service over LINE and Booking.com was excellent (and English-friendly) and quick to respond! Conveniently located to get anywhere you need to go in Kaohsiung, and all for the price of a hostel bed in most of the world. I could not recommend it enough.
